- Unloading 40ft shipping containers full of furniture and moving stock into the warehouse.
- Picking furniture orders accurately and preparing them for dispatch.
- Loading furniture onto 3.5-tonne vans and securing items ready for delivery.
- Preparing orders for Amazon Prime, DPD and other third-party delivery partners.
- Labelling furniture and ensuring items are ready for collection and delivery.
- Moving stock, organising warehouse space and carrying out general housekeeping duties.
- Unloading vehicles returning from delivery runs.
- Sorting and checking returned furniture.
- Carrying out light repairs to returned stock where required.
- Preparing suitable items for resale on eBay.
- Working alongside the warehouse and yard team to ensure orders are processed efficiently and safely.
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative, Warehouse Assistant, Yard Operative or in a similar hands-on role.
- A good understanding of warehouse activities, including picking, dispatch and returns.
- A valid driving licence.
- The ability to carry out regular heavy lifting and manual handling.
- A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
- Good attention to detail when picking, checking and labelling stock.
- The ability to work well as part of a team in a busy warehouse environment.
