We are currently recruiting for a Senior Category Buyer to join a busy procurement team on a temporary maternity cover contract, with scope for the role to be extended.
The role will involve managing strategic and tactical sourcing activities, including:
We are looking for someone with strong procurement, strategic sourcing and negotiation experience, ideally with experience managing suppliers and tenders. SAP Ariba experience is advantageous, but training can be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with the right procurement background to develop their systems knowledge.

The role will involve managing strategic and tactical sourcing activities, including:
- Managing high-value tenders through SAP Ariba or Sourcing Exception processes.
- Running tenders for Long Term Pricing Agreements.
- Negotiating and re-validating new and existing Long Term Agreements.
- Working closely with Geographic Procurement teams to support sourcing decisions.
- Identifying and scouting new suppliers, including supplier visits.
- Supporting new supplier selection through SAP Ariba.
- Developing effective sourcing strategies and achieving commercial objectives.
