Our client, based across the UK, are seeking a Production Planning Consultant to take on the role of SAP Specialist to operate as the subject matter expert in SAP Production Planning. This is a full-time temporary position working 37 hours per week until October 2025 with the possibility of extension.
This is a remote, home based role, however you must be willing to travel across the UK, primarily in Yeovil, Somerset. But also to other sites in Basildon, Luton, Bristol, Edinburgh and other locations. Expenses will be covered.Main Purpose

- Operates as the subject matter expert in SAP Production Planning provides professional advice and makes recommendations to support business queries and requirements definition
- To self sufficiently, design and develop business / process enhancing solutions within SAP
- To deliver early life support for new solutions
- To support established in-house developed solutions
- To add value to existing business processes / procedures by improving efficiency and effectiveness
- Assist in the management of third party and internal suppliers
- Deliver projects from design to completion to achieve required business outputs
- Influence and negotiate with key project stakeholders, using data and analysis to support reasoning
- May co-ordinate and supervise the activities of team members
- Take ownership of and solve more complex technical problems and issues within own specialty
- Provide support for data migration projects as and when required
- Understand the business data requirements and translate it into solution framework / architecture
- Work with business experts and technical resources to facilitate incident & problem resolution
- Ensure effective communication with business and project stakeholders
- Coordinate the development of code elements and review
- Obtain acceptance for all deliverables from the business
- Ensure adherence to internal and external standards for all solutions
- Business Solutions and enhancements
- Patches / fixes for deployed Business Solutions
- Support User Acceptance Testing for new Business Solutions
- Early life support for new Business Solutions

- Assist business user in producing User guides and training documentation
- At least 5 years experience using SAP in Production Planning
- Experience using SAP in Material/Quality management would be useful
- Excellent communication skills
- Self sufficient, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability and willing to travel across the UK as required.
- To be a solely UK National
- To be able to quickly complete clearance requirements if successful
