Are you an experienced Goods In FLT Driver looking for a steady weekday role with early finishes? Meridian Business Support are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and tool supplies company in Stretford. This is a full-time, temp to perm position offering consistent hours and a structured working environment.
As a Goods In FLT Driver, you will play a key part in the smooth running of the warehouse operation, supporting the intake and accurate handling of stock:
- Receive incoming deliveries from carriers and suppliers, ensuring timely offloading
- Operate a counterbalance forklift truck to load stock into vans safely and efficiently
- Inspect goods for quantity, quality and any damage, checking against purchase orders
- Book in and process stock using a Warehouse Management System, including SAP
- Organise the goods-in area and ensure stock is stored in the correct locations
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and follow all health and safety procedures
To be successful in this Goods In FLT Driver role, you will need:
- A valid, in-date Counterbalance FLT licence (external accreditation required, in-house licences not accepted)
- Previous experience in goods-in, warehouse or stores environment
- Strong IT skills, including proven experience using SAP or similar WMS
- Good attention to detail and a proactive, reliable approach
