Are you an experienced Goods In FLT Driver looking for a steady weekday role with early finishes? Meridian Business Support are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and tool supplies company in Stretford. This is a full-time, temp to perm position offering consistent hours and a structured working environment.
As a Goods In FLT Driver, you will play a key part in the smooth running of the warehouse operation, supporting the intake and accurate handling of stock:
- Receive, inspect and process incoming deliveries
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Investigate and resolve delivery shortages, damages and discrepancies
- Maintain accurate receiving records using SAP
- Monitor overdue and late deliveries, liaising with suppliers and internal departments
- Process purchase order amendments, including quantity, price and order changes
- Coordinate outbound shipments and arrange transportation using approved carriers
- Ensure shipping documentation is completed accurately
Additional/Supporting Responsibilities:
- Support inventory control activities and stock accuracy initiatives
- Assist with stores operations during periods of increased demand
- Maintain maintenance planning records and support preventative maintenance scheduling
- Review system reports, investigate discrepancies and maintain data accuracy
- Support import and export compliance activities and maintain related documentation
To be successful in this Goods In FLT Driver role, you will need:
- A valid, in-date Counterbalance FLT licence (external accreditation required, in-house licences not accepted)
- Previous experience in goods-in, warehouse or stores environment
- Strong IT skills, including proven experience using SAP or similar WMS
- Good attention to detail and a proactive, reliable approach
