Finance Manager

Great opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our clients fantastic and passionate team based in Salisbury.
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a small, dedicated Head Office team. This is a pivotal role supporting the financial integrity, governance, and efficient operation of the organisation.
The role:
Financial Management & Accounting
  • Manage all day-to-day accounting functions across multiple entities.
  • Maintain accurate transaction postings, bank downloads, and weekly reconciliations using Sage 50
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers and grant payment records.
  • Post payroll journals, provided by payroll bureau.
Management Accounts & Reporting
  • Prepare quarterly and annual management reports and accounts.
  • Calculate and post accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
  • Reconcile all intercompany accounts and assist auditors with the annual review process.
  • Fund Management
  • Manage restricted, designated, and other funds, ensuring compliance with budget allocations.
Purchase/Sales Ledger
  • Process authorised supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment.
  • Prepare aged creditor reports and monthly payment run documentation for the board.
  • Manage BACS payments and maintain effective supplier relationships.
  • Raise weekly and monthly invoices.
  • Prepare aged debtor reports, statements, and liaise with management to manage outstanding
The Ideal Candidate:
  • AAT qualification (Level 4 or higher) or equivalent experience in a financial management role.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance, ideally within housing or
  • public sectors.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and Excel (essential).
  • Experience preparing management accounts and liaising with auditors.
  • And most of all and enjoy working part of a team that pull together to get things done
This is a full-time role working on-site Monday to Friday, offering a salary £40,000 - £45,000 (dependant on skills and experience).
