We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a small, dedicated Head Office team. This is a pivotal role supporting the financial integrity, governance, and efficient operation of the organisation.
The role:
Financial Management & Accounting
- Manage all day-to-day accounting functions across multiple entities.
- Maintain accurate transaction postings, bank downloads, and weekly reconciliations using Sage 50
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers and grant payment records.
- Post payroll journals, provided by payroll bureau.
- Prepare quarterly and annual management reports and accounts.
- Calculate and post accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
- Reconcile all intercompany accounts and assist auditors with the annual review process.
- Fund Management
- Manage restricted, designated, and other funds, ensuring compliance with budget allocations.
- Process authorised supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment.
- Prepare aged creditor reports and monthly payment run documentation for the board.
- Manage BACS payments and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Raise weekly and monthly invoices.
- Prepare aged debtor reports, statements, and liaise with management to manage outstanding
- AAT qualification (Level 4 or higher) or equivalent experience in a financial management role.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance, ideally within housing or
- public sectors.
- Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and Excel (essential).
- Experience preparing management accounts and liaising with auditors.
