We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Technician to join a global independent soft drinks manufacturer with 78 manufacturing sites worldwide based at the start of the art sit in Bridgwater, Somerset (TA6).
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a Continuous Improvement background, ideally from a food, beverage, or manufacturing environment, who can bring both hands-on process knowledge and the right mindset to drive cultural change. The successful person will support the wider CI journey on site, focusing on improving communication, influencing key stakeholders, and rebuilding collaboration across multiple teams.
As the Continuous Improvement Technician, you will be working closely with the CI Manager and Senior CI Lead, as part of the FIT Programme — a cross-functional initiative made up of around 18–20 people supporting continuous improvement and performance enhancement across the site. The focus is on developing a sustainable CI culture, embedding best practices, and coaching teams through behavioural and process change.
This role will require you to lead meetings, engage with different departments, and bring people on the CI journey — especially those who may be set in their ways or resistant to change. Strong influencing and communication skills are therefore key, along with the ability to motivate and build morale within the wider team.

Continuous Improvement Technician: Key responsibilities
- Support and develop the existing Continuous Improvement Methodology (PEX) and culture on site.
- Analyse, interpret and understand data / reports and be able to identify opportunities for improvement and engage with stakeholders to deliver them.
- Collaboratively support multi skilled / cross functional teams.
- Actively communicate with the site CI Manager and the PEX community to standardise the approach.
- Coach & develop Continuous Improvement skills to team members and peers, working with the shop floor to help identify, root case and establish 100-year fix to their issues.
- Proactively support the Site HS&E and Quality Agenda
- Manage site performance systems (OEE Toolkit and QlikView) and provide regular support with reporting and analysis.
