Meridian Business Support are delighted to working with a local metal fabricator that specialise in laser cutting, folding and welding to recruit a Welder on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our client completes mixed work including bespoke, project or single piece in various sectors.

Main responsibilities:

Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine weld locations and specifications
Set up welding equipment based on job requirements
Fabricate and weld metal parts and structures
Cut, bend and shape metal components
Inspect finished welds for defects
Follow health & safety guidelines at all times
Maintain a clean and organised work area

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years experience in MiG and TiG welding and will be primarily a welder but will need to be able to use other tools and machinery including band saws and drills and to organise and prep items.

Salary: – up to £38,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Working hours: – 0700-1630 Mondays to Thursdays & 0700-1300 Fridays.

A weld test/skills test will be carried out at interview stage.
