Warehouse Operative

Warehouse OperativeMeridian Business Support is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / 3.5 Tonne Van Driver to support operations within a busy furniture warehouse based in Exeter, EX15. This position will involve a combination of warehouse duties, manual handling, furniture delivery, and driving between Exeter and Gloucester via the M5.

Details:

Job Type: Temporary, with potential to extend and permanent opportunities available
Location: Exeter, EX15
Pay: £13.94 per hour + £1.68 per hour holiday pay, PAYE
Overtime: Saturday paid at time and a half; Sunday paid at double time
Contract length: Initial 2-month assignment with potential for a permanent position
Start date: ASAP
Schedule: Day shifts

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong communication skills and a professional approach to work
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment, including manual handling duties
• Willingness to travel between Exeter and Gloucester via the M5 as part of the role
• Willingness to complete the required vetting process
• Full UK driving licence with entitlement to drive a 3.5 tonne van

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a 3.5 tonne van in a safe and professional manner
• Deliver furniture between Exeter and Gloucester via the M5
• Carry out manual handling duties, including moving and lifting furniture safely
• Support general warehouse and distribution activities as required

Previous warehouse experience is essential for this position. The successful candidate will be reliable, physically capable of undertaking manual handling duties, and able to demonstrate a strong work ethic in a fast-paced operational environment.
