- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Rate of Pay: £15.18 per hour

Meridian Business Support is currently seeking a compassionate and proactive Older Persons Support Officer to join a dedicated team for a 2-month temporary assignment. This role is vital in supporting the well-being and independence of older tenants within a sheltered housing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the well-being and promote the independence of all tenants supported through the Older Persons Support Service
- Take appropriate action in cases of reduced self-dependence or increasing ill health
- Sustain tenancies by engaging with appropriate agencies and support networks
- Encourage and support residents to take an active role in the sheltered housing community
- Be responsible for meeting all health and safety requirements within the service
- Engage with older people to assess needs and provide appropriate support
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users and their families
- Signpost individuals to relevant health, housing, and social care services
- Liaise with partner agencies to coordinate and deliver effective support
- Maintain accurate records and case notes in line with service standards
- Experience working with older people or within adult social care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
- Knowledge of local support services and safeguarding practices
- Commitment to promoting independence and inclusion
- Enhanced DBS required
- Driving Licence required
