Supplier Quality Engineer
The Company:
Are you an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer within mechanical engineering manufacture? If you have proven experience of managing the quality of raw materials and parts received from global suppliers, then we would love to hear from you. This is an interesting Supplier Quality Engineer's role which may involve some travel, some of which maybe global.

The Company:
Are you an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer within mechanical engineering manufacture? If you have proven experience of managing the quality of raw materials and parts received from global suppliers, then we would love to hear from you. This is an interesting Supplier Quality Engineer's role which may involve some travel, some of which maybe global.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carry out effective Quality management of suppliers from cradle to grave.
- Measure, monitor, control and communicate supplier performance.
- Deal with non-conforming product from suppliers and driving to root cause using 8D, etc.
- Continual supplier development to drive continuous improvement and cost effectiveness.
- Travel to suppliers will be required – both UK and overseas
- Qualified or time served in Supplier Quality Assurance
- Experience of problem solving tools – 8D, 5Y, etc.
- Experience of managing suppliers in a mechanical engineering manufacture environment.
- Excellent communication skills required to manage the supplier relationship and even have difficult conversation from time to time over quality issues.
- Conversant with ISO9001 standards.
