Stores Controller
The Opportunity:
If you are an experienced Warehouse or Stores Controller with a combination of hands on stock control skills AND the use of various computer systems, then we would like to hear from you. The Stores Controller will have a varied role, receiving goods, inspecting product, logging stock on the computer, updating various departments and dispatching products. If you have a forklift license, it would be useful, but is not essential.
Job Responsibilities:
26 days holiday per annum (allocated to fixed and flexible dates) plus 8 statutory bank holidays.
Working Hours: MONDAY TO THURSDAY ONLY: 07.00 to 16.30 Monday to Wednesday, 07.00 to 16.00 Thursday with every Friday off – 36 hour working week.

Job Responsibilities:
- The Stores Coordinator is responsible for controlling the efficient operation of the store or warehouse, ensuring inventory is accurately tracked, stock is properly stored and displayed, and supplies from goods inwards are managed in a timely manner.
- This role supports both operational and administrative functions to maintain smooth store logistics.
- Loading and Unloading of Goods.
- Put away finished goods stock and maintain accurate location information on ERP system.
- Perform perpetual inventory checks as needed to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained.
- Check all incoming deliveries and check the overall condition of receipt and check against the purchase order and supplier delivery note.
- Liaise with purchasing, concerning any discrepancies.
- Picking of part finished goods against batch cards for production orders.
- Proven experience in a stores or stock control role, within a warehousing or engineering business.
- The ability to use a good standard of numeracy and literacy skills to complete accurate data input tasks, administrative tasks and system checks
- A good working knowledge of Access/Excel/Word. Knowledge of an ERP system would be an advantage.
- The ability to fulfil the manual handling tasks of the role
- The ability to drive a Stacker Truck (training provided) and the ability to drive a Forklift would be useful.
