Stock Controller – Days Rugby | 4 on / 4 off | 6am–6pm | £13.46 per hour | Long‑term temporary with potential for permanent employment!
Are you looking to build a long‑term career with a leading warehousing and logistics provider based in Lutterworth? We’re recruiting a proactive Stock Controller to join our day shift team on a 4 on, 4 off rota. This is a fantastic opportunity offering stability, great pay, and the chance to secure a permanent position.
VNA experience is beneficial but not essential—training provided!
About the Role
As a Stock Controller, you’ll ensure accurate stock levels and high-quality inventory control across the warehouse. You’ll work with Material Handling Equipment and use cutting‑edge tools—including Dexory robot dashboards—to monitor stock, investigate discrepancies, and support continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide full stock control support to warehouse operations
• Create, edit, and maintain documentation including paperwork, spreadsheets, and inventory records
• Manage occupancy levels using warehouse management systems
• Review data from Dexory robot dashboards to analyse stock trends
• Report damaged or non-conforming stock and contribute to root-cause analysis
• Support warehouse projects such as space optimisation, layout improvements, and audits
• Manage access for visitors, suppliers, and contractors
• Forecast stock requirements to reduce shortages / excess
• Conduct regular inventory audits
• Track shipments and resolve delays or discrepancies
• Maintain and update facility calendars
• Oversee Health & Safety and compliance documentation
• Carry out any additional tasks required by management
Key Skills & Requirements
• Experience within warehousing or logistics in a Stock Controller position
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• VNA licence desirable
• Familiarity with Dexory or other automation tools (advantageous)
• High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
• Professional, confidential, and organised
• Excellent internal customer service and ability to meet deadlines
• Team player with a proactive, solution-focused approach
• Confident using a range of software packages
