We are recruiting for an ambitious, driven and committed Shift Manager to join a leading food manufacturer based in Corby. This permanent role offers the chance to lead a dynamic team within a renowned food manufacturer, known for its commitment to excellence and innovation.
Role Overview:
As a Shift Manager, reporting to the Production Manager, you will be instrumental in driving operational success. Your leadership will foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and high performance. You will be responsible for achieving targeted performance levels, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining quality standards. Managing a team of 23 production staff, working 6-6 4 on, 4 off Days and Nights you will be the most senior person onsite at weekends and evenings so clear decision making skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities of Shift Manager role:
- Health & Safety: Champion a "Safety First" culture, ensuring an accident-free environment.
- Cost Management: Optimise productivity and efficiency, managing labour effectively.
- Quality Assurance: Enhance product and service quality, meeting and exceeding customer requirements.
- Team Development: Coach and develop Team Leaders and Operatives, promoting continuous improvement.
- Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence, manage deadlines, and minimise downtime and waste.
- Technical Compliance: Ensure exemplary Health & Safety standards and maintain high food safety and quality standards.
We are keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
- Proven leadership skills with at least 3 years’ experience in an FMCG environment, ideally in a bakery as Shift Manager or similar
- Experience using Lean Manufacturing Techniques/ Six Sigma for Continuous Improvement activities
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualified, and Level 3 HACCP trained preferred.
- Demonstrable experience of remaining calm in a crisis
