Service Engineer Responsibilities
- Lead on inspections, servicing, repairs, and calibration of safety‑critical equipment.
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards, legislation, and quality requirements.
- Provide hands‑on diagnostics, fault‑finding, and technical support.
- Mentor engineers and trainees, supporting skills development and competency.
- Conduct quality checks and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records in Syrinx and support hire/sales order processing.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams on technical matters.
- Occasionally travel to customer sites for onsite servicing.
The right Service Engineer will have the following:
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience servicing, repairing, or calibrating technical or safety equipment.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Confident mentoring others and leading by example.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
