SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Primary)
Location – Liverpool
Pay: £12.71 to £14.00 per hour - Depending on experience
Contract: Temporary
Working Pattern: Flexible opportunities including day-to-day, short-term and long-term assignments
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Primary School aged pupil. The Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.

The Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs
- Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning materials and activities
- Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and academic development
- Encourage positive behaviour and assist with behaviour management strategies where needed
- Help maintain a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in working with children or young people, ideally within a school or SEN setting
- Knowledgeable or willing to learn about supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive in their approach
- A strong communicator who works well as part of a team
- In possession of a DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply for one
- Competitive daily rates, paid weekly – PAYE
