The Role
As a Retail Sales Consultant, you’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality showroom experience. You’ll engage with customers, understand their needs, and guide them through product selections to support their projects—whether for home renovations or trade purchases.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide a friendly, professional showroom experience
- Understand customer needs and offer tailored product recommendations
- Inspire customers with ideas for tiling projects and interior design
- Process sales accurately and efficiently, including handling payments
- Maintain strong product knowledge, including new and evolving ranges
- Merchandise and display products to maximise sales opportunities
- Assist with stock deliveries, storage, and inventory management
- Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing showroom
- Support customers with loading purchases where required
- Follow company procedures relating to sales, security, and health & safety
- Proven sales and customer service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- A natural ability to build rapport and understand customer needs
- Interest or flair in interior design, colour, and styling
- Confident in suggesting ideas and presenting solutions
- Numerate, with the ability to calculate areas and measurements
- IT literate and comfortable with sales systems
- A team player who can also work independently
- Reliable, proactive, and well-organised
- Willing to work weekends on a rota basis (5 days out of 7)
- Physically able to lift and move tile boxes
