Due to an internal promotion, our client is seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee 4–5 branches across the South East and Midlands. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for driving growth, operational excellence, and strong people management across a large and diverse region.
The Role:
- Lead and develop Branch Managers and teams, creating a high-performance culture.
- Oversee operational efficiency, P&L performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive growth, profitability, and customer experience strategies across the region.
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are embedded in daily operations.
- Collaborate with sales and central support teams to maximise opportunities.
- Regular travel across branches (occasional overnight stays required).
The Person:
- Proven multi-site operational management experience (ideally in distribution, hire, or related industries).
- Strong people management skills – able to coach, motivate, and handle HR/ER issues effectively.
- Track record of driving sales, profitability, and operational improvements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
- Flexible to travel across London, Bedford, Bracknell, Great Yarmouth, Dartford and surrounding regions.
- NEBOSH or formal management training desirable.
