Varied role combining document processing and warehouse support | Full training provided

Meridian Business Support is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Records & Document Processing Assistant to support a large-scale digital records project based in Aston. This is a varied position combining document processing with warehouse support duties. Approximately two-thirds of your time will be spent processing and categorising digital records, with the remaining third supporting the movement of materials between the office, warehouse and yard.

As a Records & Document Processing Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
  • Reviewing scanned documents and assigning them to the correct digital categories
  • Processing information accurately using internal computer systems
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure records are classified correctly
  • Following established procedures and data handling processes
  • Moving pallets, archive boxes and empty containers between the office, warehouse and yard
  • Supporting the wider project team with document handling and stock movement activities
  • Working towards productivity and quality targets once fully trained

The document processing element of the role does not require fast typing speeds. However, exceptional attention to detail is essential, as the system allows very little room for error. Accuracy, concentration and consistency are key to success in this position.

To be considered for this Records & Document Processing Assistant role, you should have:
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Good computer literacy and confidence using digital systems
  • The ability to work across both office and warehouse environments
  • A reliable, organised and methodical approach to work
  • The capability to undertake manual handling duties related to moving pallets and boxes safely
Previous experience as a Records Administrator, Document Controller, Data Processing Administrator, Warehouse Administrator, Archive Assistant, Logistics Assistant or Data Entry Clerk would be advantageous but is not essential.

Please note that all applicants will complete a computer literacy and typing assessment during registration. This is designed to demonstrate confidence using computer systems rather than measure typing speed.

What's on Offer?

  • Monday to Friday working pattern
  • 7:00am - 4:00pm shifts
  • Immediate start available
  • Ongoing assignment until October, with the possibility of extension
