Receptionist

We are recruiting for a Part Time Receptionist to join a serviced office building based in Rochdale. This is to cover a period of maternity estimated at 6 months so you must be fully committed to this contract period. This is a varied and hands-on Receptionist role where you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a welcoming, efficient and professional service at all times.

📍 Location: Rochdale
Hours: Tuesday to Friday 8am-1pm and Saturday 8am-12 noon (24 hours in total)
💰 Pay: £12.71ph


Key Responsibilities as Receptionist:
  • Welcome visitors and customers, directing them to the appropriate person or service
  • Process sales and payments accurately (face-to-face and over the phone)
  • Handle sales enquiries and prepare customer quotations
  • Escort customers to storage units and demonstrate access and facilities
  • Complete and maintain customer storage agreements and records
  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly and professionally
  • Maintain site security by screening visitors
  • Keep the reception area clean, organised and welcoming
  • Sort and manage incoming post and parcels
  • Clean storage units and surrounding areas as required
  • Support general administrative duties across the business
  • Carry out any additional tasks as needed to support the team

We are keen to speak with applicants with the following skills and experience: 
  • Strong clerical and administrative skills are essential
  • Previous experience in a Receptionist or Customer Service role
  • Confident telephone manner and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Sage
