Quantity Surveyor

Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. They are a dynamic construction consultancy built on innovation, accountability, and collaboration. With nearly 20 years’ experience and a national reputation, they deliver landmark projects through modern methods, a client-focused approach, and a firm commitment to sustainability and net-zero goals.

This role covers pre-construction through to delivery, with a focus on cost management, procurement, and contract administration across a variety of building and civil engineering projects.

The role:
  • Prepare cost plans, bills of quantities, valuations, and cost reports in line with RIBA stages.
  • Lead procurement, tendering, and contract management (JCT, NEC, frameworks).
  • Oversee budgets, cash flow forecasts, and change control to deliver best-value outcomes.
  • Advise clients and stakeholders on commercial, contractual, and risk matters.
  • Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
What they’re looking for:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (RICS-accredited).
  • Chartered (MRICS/MCIOB) or working towards qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement routes, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Experience preparing cost plans, valuations, and contract administration.
  • Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in digital tools (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, Causeway).
