As the Quality Inspector, you will be the cornerstone of quality assurance and control within the company supporting approx 35 staff on the factory floor. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all customer complaints, liaising across departments to rectify issues, document processes, and ensure continual improvement.
- Conducting DuPro inspections and checking parts and products throughout production and assembly areas.
- Implementing corrective actions in a dynamic environment to minimise impact on production flow and customer expectations.
- Documenting non-conformances and monitoring the solution process.
- Leading quality assurance and control initiatives across the business.
- Performing cyclical quality inspections of incoming goods from suppliers.
- Collaborating with all departments to resolve quality issues with suppliers.
- Regularly visiting key suppliers to establish and enforce quality standards.
- Supporting the Health & Safety Manager in implementing risk assessments and health & safety controls.
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience within a Quality Inspector role or similar from a manufacturing environment
- A hands-on approach with the ability to work independently while considering the wider business.
- Proficiency in developing quality processes and documentation, such as SOPs.
- Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and a confident appearance.
- Good experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, etc.).
- Previous experience in a shop floor working environment.
- A ‘customer first’ approach.
- Well-organised and comfortable working with ERP systems.
- Previous experience in the furniture industry is advantageous.
