Production Operative

I am currently seeking a motivated and reliable Production Operative – Mixing to join my clients Production Department. This hands-on role involves working with chemical products, measuring and mixing materials, and maintaining accurate production records. You will be part of a collaborative team contributing to the safe and efficient manufacture of high-quality chemical products.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week - FRIDAYS OFF! Permanent Role. 
Days: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch + two 15-minute paid breaks)
Salary: £26,200 per annum (depending on experience)
Training & Induction: Full training and induction provided onsite
PPE Provided: Goggles, respirators, safety shoes, uniform, and high visibility clothing
Health & Safety: Full induction and training provided


Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and mix raw materials according to specific formulations
  • Record data and maintain detailed production logs
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety procedures, including COSHH guidelines
  • Perform manual handling duties, including lifting heavy or awkward items
  • Operate pallet trucks and assist in the movement of materials within the warehouse
  • Support colleagues and work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and recording data
  • Good communication skills – both written and spoken English
  • Confident with basic arithmetic
  • Physically fit and aware of safe manual handling practices
  • Proven experience working in a production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment
  • Team player with a proactive attitude
  • Experience using pallet trucks
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience working in the chemical manufacturing industry
  • COSHH awareness or formal training
  • Forklift and pallet truck operation certification
