Meridian business support is recruiting for a Chemical Process Operator / Electroplating Assistant for a Company based in Tarvin.

Working hours:

Normal hours are 30 hrs per week over 5 days, 8am However, if you have the right skill set and could only work 4 days, or you need to do a school drop off/pick up or have any other commitment, please don't let it put you off applying as there is room for some flexibility.
Weekend duties will be required when trained. Fully trained staff work one weekend in 4, (approx 2-5 hrs on Sat and Sun mornings together with a very occasional Bank Holiday). You may be required to work weekend overtime when assistance is needed during busy periods. Weekend and Bank Holiday working would be subject to overtime rate.

Pay Rate:
£13.50 - per hour / Starting Rate.

Additional Pay :
There is a discretionary production bonus scheme which you will be eligible for after completing 3 months work.

Electroplating Assistant Duties :

Unpacking components, Inspection, Jigging and Masking in preparation for plating.
Unjigging and cleaning plated components. Sorting and putting away masks.
Maintaining additives on electroplating tanks. Changing Filters.
Any tasks where assistance may be required by electroplating technicians.
Machining finished parts, and final inspection.
Cleaning equipment.
Keeping workplace environment clean and tidy.

After a short time we would expect to start teaching you electroplating duties:

Daily plating tank checks, maintaining equipment, loading and unloading the plating tanks.
Maintaining/preparing the tanks between batches.
pH Measurement and Chemical Analysis, making up and maintaining plating solutions.
Production team only consist 9 people, we are looking for someone who will fit in.
No previous experience is necessary but an interest in engineering, chemistry or sciences, mechanical maintenance is desirable.

Please be aware before applying that due the semi-rural location, public transport isn't always perfect, especially on the weekends. This being the case, your own transport is preferable.
