Premises Manager – High School
Location: Middleton
Hours:
• Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
• School Holidays: 8:00am – 4:00pm
We are currently recruiting for a Premises Manager to join a busy secondary school on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Premises Manager who enjoys maintaining a safe, secure and well-presented school environment.
The Role
As the Premises Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school site, ensuring it is safe, secure and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Opening and closing the school each day
• Acting as the school's keyholder
• Ensuring all visitors are signed in and out correctly
• Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across the school
• Supervising and supporting the Apprentice Caretaker
• Conducting routine health and safety checks
• Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues
• Maintaining the security, cleanliness and upkeep of the premises
• Supporting the school with all other general Premises Manager duties as required
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Premises Manager, Site Manager or Caretaker
• Good practical maintenance and repair skills
• Strong understanding of health and safety
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) is essential
