The Role As Care Home Unit Manager, you will:
- Support the Home Manager in the overall clinical and operational management of the home
- Develop and implement effective clinical governance policies in line with NICE guidelines, NMC standards, and all regulatory requirements
- Lead, mentor and coach nurses and carers to ensure best practice in medication administration, wound care and ongoing resident assessments
- Ensure care plans and clinical records are accurate, up to date and fully reflective of residents’ needs
- Monitor and review clinical standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes
- Act as a visible clinical role model, promoting excellence in person-centred care
- Foster a positive, supportive and engaging working environment for all staff
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- NMC registration with relevant post-registration experience
- Proven experience as a Nurse Manager or in a similar clinical leadership role within the care sector
- Strong clinical skills with a clear focus on person-centred care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A supportive leadership style with strong coaching and mentoring ability
- The ability to prioritise effectively and perform well under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good IT skills and experience maintaining electronic care records
- Salary of ÂŁ50,000 per annum
