  • Assess competency and provide structured feedback
  • Maintain training equipment and workshop spaces
  • Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations

We are keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
  • Background as a Mechanical Fitter, Electrical Fitter, Technician or similar
  • Experience in heavy industry, utilities, manufacturing, or ex-forces engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience
  • City & Guilds Level 2 (or equivalent)
  • Physically fit (role involves ladders, scaffolding and switchgear work)
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable (not essential – training provided):
  • Experience in HV/LV or power distribution
  • Previous training, coaching or mentoring experience
  • Assessing or teaching qualifications (A1, D32/33, PTLLS etc.)
  • Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH / NEBOSH)

Why Apply?
  • Move off the tools full-time while staying hands-on
  • No more working away – stable, local role
  • Full training & career development provided
  • Join a growing and future-proof sector (energy & utilities)
  • Ideal transition for ex-forces or site-based engineers

Package & Benefits
  • 33 days holiday (including Christmas shutdown)
  • Holiday increases with service (up to +3 days)
  • Pension (5% employee / 3% employer)
  • Healthcare scheme + employee perks platform
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Funded qualifications & ongoing development

Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
  • Start between 7:30am–8:00am
  • Finish between 4:00pm–4:30pm
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • No weekends
