The Company
A specialist engineering company are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist / Conventional Machinist to work in a toolroom/machine shop type role, in a smart, clean and well organised testing department. The company produces highly specialist materials which go on to be used in some of the most challenging environments in the world from aerospace to nuclear and many high tech industries in between.

The Role - Manual Machinist
The company are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to work with a range of machine shop / toolroom equipment to include manual Bridgeport type mills and manual lathes (Colchester and Harrison/Hardinge/Monarch/Kingston type), plus a range of machine shop equipment, to join their team in Hereford.

- We’re looking to pay between £16.00 - £18.00 per hour plus shift allowance and we’re happy to consider your requirements depending on your experience
- Overtime and Benefits (including pension matched up to 10%)

- This is a position for an experienced manual machinist with an eye for detail, happy to use a wide range of machine shop tools and equipment
- Working in a recently refurbished, smart and clean laboratory and testing environment with all the equipment you need to do your best work

The Role - Manual Machinist
The company are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to work with a range of machine shop / toolroom equipment to include manual Bridgeport type mills and manual lathes (Colchester and Harrison/Hardinge/Monarch/Kingston type), plus a range of machine shop equipment, to join their team in Hereford.
Duties - Manual Machinist
- Set up and operate a range of machine shop equipment
- Manual mill
- Manual lathe
- Pillar drill
- Hand tools
- Vernier, micrometer and gauges
- Carrying out a variety of tests to identify manufacturing issues in order to ensure only highest quality products are made
- Working with machine shop and technical departments to identify and resolve manufacturing issues
Requirements - Manual Machinist
- Experienced Miller, Turner, Setter, Operator
- Manual/conventional milling and lathe experience
- Capable of using a range of machine shop tools and equipment
- Able to read engineering drawings and to use measuring equipment such as vernier, micrometer and gauges
- Good teamwork skills
- Good problem solving skills
Pay and Benefits:
- Looking to pay £16.00 - £18.00 per hour plus shift allowance, and we’re happy to consider your requirements so please do get in touch for an informal chat

Hours:
