Meridian business support is recruiting for a Machine operator for a Company based in Ruthin area.
Machine operator Duties include:
4ON 4OFF / DAYS -6AM - 6PM and NIGHTS 6PM - 6AM
Pay Rate: £14.02 per hour / overtime after 40.25 hours £ 21.03 / Sunday shift £ 28.04
After 12 weeks £15.08 per hour

Meridian Business Support is a recruitment specialist acting on behalf of our client as an Employment Business for this vacancy.
Machine operator Duties include:
- Operating a Loading Shovel/telehandler to transfer material and product around the site in a safe and efficient manner and within the speed limit
- Sorting and blending the product
- Loading infeed hopper
- Managing the operation of the burner – keeping walking floors loaded
- Ensuring good quality control of product
- Measuring bucket weights and recording thereof.
- Accurate completion of documentation
- Ash waste management – emptying of ash waste to appropriate skips and replacement of covers on skips at all times. Clean spilled ash around the skips.
- Report any faults to management. Report any damages to management.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Airline the machines, including the air filter and radiator, each shift to keep them clean and minimise chip build-up that may cause damage. Airline around the conveyors and the infeed system. Grease the machines thoroughly in accordance with the vehicle handbook.
- Complete vehicle safety checks before and after shift, clean the cab regularly throughout the shift and particularly before handover. Refill the diesel and AdBlue at the end of each shift.
- Always maintain a high level of safety awareness
- A minimum of one years' experience in operating mobile plant equipment.
- Good numeracy and paperwork skills.
- Excellent housekeeping and quality standards.
- Full clean driving licence.
- A valid shovel driver/rough terrain licence (or equivalent)
