This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone with strong estates management experience who is ready to take ownership of the college’s facilities and ensure a safe, well-maintained learning environment.
The Role
As Estates and Facilities Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the college estate, including hard and soft facilities services, building maintenance, grounds, cleaning, security, and health and safety management. You will lead the estates and facilities team to ensure effective operations, supporting the development and maintenance of the college’s buildings and grounds.

The Role

You will lead the estates and facilities team to ensure effective operations, supporting the development and maintenance of the college’s buildings and grounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective management of all estates and facilities operations across the college
- Lead, motivate, and develop the estates and facilities team
- Plan, supervise, and deliver all maintenance and improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding staff, students, visitors, and contractors
- Oversee cleaning, security, and general upkeep of the college estate
- Contribute to the strategic development and improvement of college facilities
- Proven experience in estates and facilities management, ideally in an educational or similar environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety compliance and best practice
- Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills
- Hands-on approach with the ability to oversee multiple aspects of facilities management simultaneously
- Building or Services discipline to NVQ3 or equivalent
- Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2)
- Basic Health & Safety Level 1 Certificate or willingness to work towards it
- Salary range of £46,472 – £50,939 per annum
