We’re looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone with a passion for electronics, wiring, and assembly work, who’s ready to develop their technical skills and grow within a specialist manufacturing environment.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the manufacture, assembly, and testing of high-voltage electrical test equipment, working from technical drawings and engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, assemble, and test electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Carry out soldering on electrical control boards and wiring harnesses.
- Assemble, crimp, and route complex wiring harnesses.
- Perform fault-finding and repairs on electrical and associated assemblies.
- Maintain all workshop tools and equipment, reporting any issues to the Production Manager.
- Ensure calibration of tools and equipment remains up to date and within specification.
- Complete production job cards and all related quality documentation accurately.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Keep work areas organised, clean, and safe.
- Use appropriate PPE as directed.
- Contribute positively to team culture and support additional production activities as required.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification/time-served in Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing.
- Previous experience in an electronics or electrical assembly environment.
- Skilled in wiring and soldering.
- Experience building and testing harnesses.
- Familiarity with high-voltage systems is advantageous.
- Good IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Eager to learn, train, and develop within a technical role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive problem-solver with the ability to multitask.
- Team-oriented and dependable.
