About the Role: As a Consultant in Intensive Care, you will:
- Deliver expert care across a 9-bedded critical care unit serving a busy district general hospital
- Lead on the management of complex critically ill patients, including those requiring advanced organ support
- Contribute to the delivery of 24/7 consultant-led critical care services, including a full-shift pattern and out-of-hours cover
- Work closely with Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, and Medical specialties to provide seamless integrated care
- Engage in clinical governance, audit, and service development initiatives
- Support the education, training, and supervision of junior doctors and wider MDT colleagues
- Full GMC registration with inclusion on the Specialist Register for Intensive Care Medicine (or within 6 months of CCT)
- Dual accreditation with Anaesthesia or another relevant specialty is welcome but not essential
- Extensive experience managing Level 2 and 3 patients, including emergency admissions and post-operative care
- Strong team-working, leadership, and communication skills
