The role - CNC Mill Turn Setter Operator
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced CNC Mill Turn Setter Operator to join one of the region’s leading precision engineering operations - a skilled, close-knit machine shop team based at the company’s UK engineering headquarters in Witney. The role offers genuine variety, technical challenge and the chance to take real ownership of producing high-quality, close-tolerance components which will go on to be used in some of the most advanced industries in the world.
Your role will include:

• Setting and operating multi-axis CNC Mill Turn machines, with occasional work on 4-axis horizontal mills
• Loading CNC programs and taking them through to successful prove-out and production
• Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances in a quality-driven environment
• Completing first-off and in-process inspections to ensure consistently high standards
• Optimising machining processes to improve efficiency, quality and output
• Supporting general machine shop activities including tooling, materials and housekeeping

Required skills and experience - CNC Mill Turn Setter Operator

• Sound experience setting and operating multi-axis CNC Mill Turn machines
• Background in high-precision machining (aerospace, motorsport or similar industries desirable)
• Experience machining Duplex steels, carbon steels and aluminium alloys
• Capable of reading engineering drawings and confidently using measuring and inspection equipment

Hours
Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 15:30 with a half an hour for lunch and Friday 07:00 to 12:30. (37.5 hours a week).
