🧪 Chemistry Teacher – Permanent Position
đź“Ť Location: Salford
đź•’ Hours: 36 per week, Monday to Friday
đź’· Salary: Up to ÂŁ40 per hour (depending on experience)
Are you a passionate Chemistry educator with experience teaching A-Level students? We’re looking for a dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our team in Salford on a permanent basis.
Qualifications & Experience
• Hold a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Degree in Chemistry or a closely related science discipline
• Proven experience teaching A-Level Chemistry is essential
• Experience with Vocational Science, Access to HE (Science), or Adult Education courses is highly desirable
Teaching Skills
• Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across a range of learner levels
• Strong understanding of the A-Level Chemistry curriculum and assessment standards
• Skilled in planning, delivering, and evaluating lessons that meet diverse learning needs
• Comfortable using digital tools and platforms to enhance learning
Professional Attributes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to curriculum development
Desirable Traits
• Enthusiasm for science education and student success
• Flexibility to teach across different course formats (Vocational, Access, A-Level)
