We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Assistant Office Manager to join a team in Crewkerne. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, this is a varied and hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a small business environment and is confident managing multiple administrative and financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am – 1:00pm (39 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the clocking-on system
- Track and update annual holiday entitlements
- Assist with the onboarding process for new employees
- Purchase materials and manage supplier relationships
- Match delivery notes with purchase orders
- Process and verify sales and purchase invoices
- Upload invoices into Sage Accounts
- Prepare and produce monthly accounts
- Process supplier payments
- Monitor and chase outstanding debts
- Run monthly payroll and manage related queries
- Administer the company’s NEST pension scheme
- Oversee utility and service contracts (gas, electric, etc.)
- Provide general office support as needed to ensure the smooth running of the business
- Strong administrative experience, ideally within a small office environment
- Good knowledge of Sage Accounts and payroll processing
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
