We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Assistant Office Manager to join a team in Crewkerne. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, this is a varied and hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a small business environment and is confident managing multiple administrative and financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain the clocking-on system
  • Track and update annual holiday entitlements
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new employees
  • Purchase materials and manage supplier relationships
  • Match delivery notes with purchase orders
  • Process and verify sales and purchase invoices
  • Upload invoices into Sage Accounts
  • Prepare and produce monthly accounts
  • Process supplier payments
  • Monitor and chase outstanding debts
  • Run monthly payroll and manage related queries
  • Administer the company’s NEST pension scheme
  • Oversee utility and service contracts (gas, electric, etc.)
  • Provide general office support as needed to ensure the smooth running of the business
Candidate Requirements:
  • Strong administrative experience, ideally within a small office environment
  • Good knowledge of Sage Accounts and payroll processing
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am – 1:00pm (39 hours per week)
