Assistant Chef

We are currently recruiting an Assistant Chef based in Salisbury
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 3.30pm
Salary: £25,000 pa
You will be preparing breakfast and lunches, including the following:
  • Promote good customer and staff relations
  • Maintaining a clean environment in line with health and safety standards
  • In the absence of the catering manager, lead the kitchen and undertake duties such as ordering, menu writing, budgeting and training
  • Keep up with trends and seasonal ingredients
  • Ensure all supplies are stocked and all reasonable dietary requirements are considered

We are keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
  • Previous, demonstratable experience in a kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and customer care skills, with a customer-centred approach to service delivery
  • Good teamwork
  • Basic IT skills
  • Awareness of relevant legislation; Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and Allergen Awareness
  • Committed and enthusiastic with the ability to work under pressure
  • A flexible attitude to business requirements and duties
  • Up to date Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to undertake training
  • A flexible approach is essential as you may be required to work outside normal hours
