They are a well-established sub-contract machine shop producing small batches and one-offs for customers in the oil and gas, aerospace, nuclear, automotive and medical industries amongst others. Duties for the CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator include Programming from CAD/CAM software and at the machine, setting and operating CNC Lathes with full Y-axis and driven tooling, using Fanuc controls Working to close tolerances to produce components for the aerospace and automotive industry To be successful in this CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator role We’re looking for a competent CNC Machinist who can interpret customer drawings and diagrams and then program CNC lathes from scratch, challenging the machine to produce high quality products efficiently and effectively to achieve customer satisfaction and repeat business. You will have sound experience of programming, setting and operating CC Lathes with Y-axis and driven tooling.
