Are you an experienced Web Designer or an ambitious Marketing Graduate seeking an opportunity to use your artistic flair across a variety of websites? Do you seek a position where your ideas and creativity are welcomed and you will design and build websites for a range of other businesses?

Meridian Business Support are delighted to be working in exclusive partnership with this expanding Group, who are backed by one of the world's largest manufacturers of brand name consumer products for the home and family. The group provide full marketing support for a large proportion of their clients and as Web Designer/Developer, you will be responsible for working with clients from concept through to website and campaign delivery.

Utilising your creativity and design skills, you will enjoy working on multiple projects concurrently, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

You will have experience and a good understanding of Indesign & Photoshop, ideally coupled with experience of Content Management Systems, although full training on the in-house CMS, will be provided.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, spirited and close-knit marketing team (12 staff), who hold a wide array of skills between them and work collaboratively with a hands-on approach to supporting each other and the overall marketing strategy of the group.

As a growth area for the group, there are good opportunities for progression and expansion of your role.

This is a client-facing position, which reports directly to the Communications Manager for the group and applicants for the role of Web Designer/Developer will require excellent communication skills and confidence in their presentation skills.

You will work closely with each client, building rapport, understanding their needs and e-commerce objectives and creating a website and marketing materials that meet these objectives. You will be supported by an I.T department, but technical knowledge and a basic understanding of HTML would be of use.

In addition you will update and maintain all divisional websites and the group extranet. You will also support lead generation in creating and distributing e-mail campaigns on behalf of all divisions on a weekly/monthly schedule.

Whilst there is variety to this position, the main focus is Web Design/Development and applicants should be seeking a role as such.

Essential skills:

  • Creative flair & experience of designing websites/pages/banners
  • Good working knowledge of Indesign & Photoshop
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrable experience of dealing with customers
  • Experience of working with Content Management Systems - Ideal
  • Experience of creating targeted email marketing campaigns
  • Technical knowledge (including a basic understanding of HTML) - Desirable

Hours of work: 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4.30pm on Fridays.

Remuneration: £18,000 - £25,000 per annum. 25 days Annual leave per annum and other benefits including retail discounts.
