Do you have excellent customer service skills with good computer knowledge? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to work for an established national manufacturing company based on their site in Newport as a Transport Coordinator. Salary £20-24k per annum working Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm!
As Transport Coordinator you will be working as part of a small, close knit team to organise and allocate delivered sales orders to haulage contractors. Your excellent communication skills will be crucial for this role to liaise between 3rd party haulage companies, lorry drivers and end customers resolving delivery issues, issuing pricing and arranging collections in a timely manner.
Any experience of working within the logistics/ transport industry would be ideal but not essential. The Transport Coordinator role will get very busy at times so the ability to work under pressure is required. You will have good working knowledge of Word and Excel and ideally using in-house systems. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy on the computer is required for the role.
You will enjoy 25 days holiday (3 saved for Christmas shutdown) plus bank holidays and there is parking onsite, although it is accessible via public transport too.
