As Junior Draughtsperson, you will support the Engineering teams and be involved in creating and detailing drawings and schematics, modifying CAD models and creating and maintaining Bills of Materials. In addition to this you will assist the Design Engineering trams by undertaking administrative tasks and any duties required for continuous development and the efficient running of the departments.
As an entry-level position, the company will welcome the experience you bring, whatever that may be, as long as you have the enthusiasm and drive to go with it! They will support you in expanding your abilities and help you to develop new skills, which will form a solid foundation to your career.
You will receive on the job training with an introduction to 2D & 3D CAD, enabling you to develop a level of competence in using the software and creating drawings, becoming familiar with the electromechanical products the company design and manufacture.
Key skills/experience required:
- A good level of Education, including one or more of the following subjects: Maths, Physics, Design & Technology or computing.
- An interest in Design Engineering
- The confidence to interact with Professional Engineers
- The ability to use or to learn about CAD programmes, e.g Pro-E Creo & AutoCAD
- Ability to work on own initiative and be pro-active
- Excellent attention to detail
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop your potential
