We are currently seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer to join one of our prestigious clients within the Telford Shropshire area.
Working days carrying out scheduled and non-scheduled Tool overhauls (DCA'S - Dis-assembly, cleaning, assembly) in accordance with the departments tooling procedures.
Tool register control and update
Daily update of ALL injection moulding tooling status
Planning and control of scheduled periodic tooling overhauls of ALL injection moulding tools, in accordance with Daily control procedures and departmentally defined tooling control procedures
Control of unscheduled tooling overhauls, in accordance with Daily control procedures and departmentally defined tooling control procedures
Be responsible for Tooling Technicians / Apprentice
Carry out basic / in depth Tooling repairs
Liaison with approved external tooling companies for the purpose of advanced tooling modifications and / or repairs which cannot be performed in-house
Provide Engineering support to the Department moulding section and at the request of the Injection Moulding Department Manager, support to other internal departments
Control of departmental chemicals and usage, in accordance with COSHH regulations
Control and implementation of Tool room machinery maintenance programs / contracts
Control and perform pre - defined daily safety checks of all tool room machinery
Achieve objectives /Targets outlines in Annual section business plans
Control and maintain Departmental Environmental commitment through 5S activities
Promote and Encourage Company Wide Activities (Suggestion Scheme, SGAs 5S)
Must have previous Tooling Engineering experience ideally within the injection moulding industry.
