We are seeking a Team Leader to join the Commercial department of this innovative manufacturing firm, who are driven by achieving excellence across both the products and service they provide. With a Customer-first strategy, the business have grown primarily by reputation and seek a candidate who will uphold this and strive to further improve efficiency and service levels where possible.
Leading a small, but established and busy team, you will consistently provide high levels of support to customers, distributors and the network of overseas sales offices. The commercial team are responsible for processing and fulfilling incoming purchase orders from outside of the UK and therefore experience in an International business environment is essential.
You will take ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all orders received are interpreted and processed accurately, monitoring their progress and liaising with warehouse and shipping teams, as well as other departments as required. You will also process invoices and prepare appropriate shipping documentation.
You will provide guidance & support to the commercial team in resolving problems and take ownership for critical or highly complex issues that arise. You will take ownership for the training, development, management and appraisals of the commercial team.
- International Export experience
- Proven track record of working in an international business environment
- Experience of order processing, expediting and customer service
- Team leadership/supervisory experience
- Knowledge of ERP systems & good levels of I.T literacy
- Excellent communications skills
- Confident when communicating at all levels
- Self-starter with the ability to support and manage a small team of experienced, established employees
