Specifications Manager / Ledbury, Herefordshire / £27,000 to £30,000 pa
Do you have experience working within a Technical Department for a Food Manufacturer? Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity?
A fantastic position has arisen for a Specifications Manager to join our Ledbury based Client, a reputable and rapidly growing Food Manufacturer, working within their Technical Department. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the main purpose of this role is to ensure customer and supplier due diligence documentation is in place and ensuring that the company holds an up to date specification for all products manufactured at both of their sites.
You will also be responsible for leading and mentoring the Supplier Approval & Specifications Technologist, creation and maintenance of finished product specifications, creation of product labels, assisting NPD with risk assessments of new products and ingredients and deputising for the Technical Manager in periods of absence.
Experience in specification writing is essential and ideally you will be from a Food Technology background with an industry relevant Qualification/Degree. You will also possess outstanding communication, liaison and negotiation skills.
