Service Delivery Manager - HR & Payroll - Oldham

Our client is one of the UK's largest providers of outsourced professional and support services to local authorities and other public bodies, such as the Police, Fire and Rescue services. Their services range from transformation through to business services such as ICT, HR, Payroll, Finance and Accounting to Citizen Services and Education Support Services.

They are currently looking for an experienced, talented Service Delivery Manager to join their Oldham office on a temp to perm basis to lead the Payroll, HR Admin and HR advisory operation. Alongside the Service Line Director, this role will form a dynamic, energetic and determined Senior Management Team. This team will focus on delivering a robust customer focused operational service, driving significant service improvements and creating a clear commercial value for customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll and/or HR and hold a management qualification. You must have a demonstrable track record in managing large (multi-site) teams to deadlines and you must have a passion for excellent customer service and the ability to motivate and influence across a wide range of stakeholders. Candidates must have the ability to take the initiative and lead by example whilst being part of a highly effective team.

Although the role will be based in Oldham, the candidates must be flexible as some travel may be involved.

This is a period of significant change in the markets in which our client operates and they need leaders who can help their teams through this change. The successful candidate will be instrumental in helping to shape, implement and drive the client's ambitions of growth over the next 3 years.

The ideal candidates for this role will be/have:

  • Experience leading Payroll, HR Admin and HR Advisory
  • Hold a Management Qualification
  • Drivers Licence
  • Excellent communicator across all levels
