Senior Payroll Officer

Basic salary up to £25,000 plus access to over 28 benefits

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Payroll Office to join our busy payroll team at our Head Office in Altrincham.

This is an exceptionally busy, fast paced department. You will be supporting Meridians branch network in processing the temporary workers weekly payroll reporting directly in to the Payroll Manager.

The key duties of the Senior Payroll Officer are:-

  • Processing all paperwork associated with Ltd company workers and entering on the database
  • Completing enquiry forms from Government bodies such as DWP,HMRC, Child Maintenance
  • Handling queries on PAYE, Holiday Pay, Deductions etc
  • Processing SSP,SMP & SPP record cards and updating onto SAFE Tempest System
  • Completing temporary worker reference requests
  • Receiving RTI notifications from HMRC PDV and updating on candidate records
  • Assisting with set up and administration of Attachment of Earnings orders, Direct Earnings Attachments, Child Maintenance duties
  • General office duties

 

The Senior Payroll Officer will have the following experience:-

 

  • Experience of Payroll processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of outsource payroll functions and Safe Tempest payroll system an advantage
  • Highly numerate and literate with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meeting deadlines
  • Trained on Microsoft excel and word
  • Excellent communication skills
