QUALITY MANAGER

The UK business operates from Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire and employs around 320 people. We provide a comprehensive engineering, logistics and commercial support capability to our U.K. customers and have delivered significant growth in recent years. We supply our major customers, which include Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin, Bentley Motors and JCB, from our world class overseas manufacturing facilities.

Your Tasks / Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for Quality Director
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and customer specific requirements within projects
  • Work to Companies LPS+
  • Conduct quality systems audits and communicate audit reports
  • Ensure effective problem resolution by interfacing with the customer on quality concerns and APQP
  • Attend internal and external APQP & quality reviews
  • Provide support for customer builds
  • Monitor quality metrics and take appropriate action to remedy adverse trends
  • Be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Identify and assist in improvement projects
Your Profile:
  • Qualified in an engineering discipline to a minimum of a HNC or equivalent
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and specifications
  • Experience in Automotive harness products and Quality requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise and negotiate directly with the customer
  • Self-starter with willingness to take the initiative and be proactive
  • Advanced user of MS-Office
  • Prepared to travel to customer sites both within the UK and overseas
