QA Manager - Nights

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join one of our clients based in Chard. This is will be between the hours of 16:30 - 00:30 Mon - Thur and 18:00 - 00:30 Friday.

The role will entail you to lead and motivate the QA team in monitoring and evaluating product and processing systems and factory practices to ensure agreed standards of quality and food safety are achieved and improved upon. In addition to this, you will take a lead in generating and building a quality culture.

The successful candidate must understand and apply relevant standards and codes of practice so that legal requirements are achieved and maintained.

You will be able to ensure that the HACCP System is implemented in a systematic and comprehensive manner. You will understand and implement the quality management systems associated with the production of food to the agreed safety and quality standards. You will provide practical support and drive to promote a QA culture.

You will have effective communication and understand and identify technically related training requirements at al levels in the business to ensure that all employees are property equipped to undertake their roles.

Please note that 5 years in a chilled food manufacturing environment and good understanding of food legislation, HACCP L3 and good understanding of Microbiology is required for the job as well as food qualification to HND standard or above in Food Technology or related discipline.
