Maternity cover up to 12 months
Meridian Business Support are currently recruiting for a Buyer in Stoke on Trent, full time to cover a maternity cover for up to 12 months.
- Placing purchase orders and expediting deliveries in line with the MRP system
- Create and maintain the material aspects on projects
- Expedite or de-expedite materials from suppliers to meet changing production requirements.
- Identify any supplier issues to the supply chain manager
- Negotiate the best pricing and improved delivery times for new quotes
- Provide the correct manufacturing documentation
- To work alongside quality to ensure suppliers are meeting required standards of quantity and delivery
- Create supplier masters
- Work closely with the supply chain manager to create and control the PSL
- MUST have purchasing experience
- Computer literate in MS Excel and Word, minimum
- NVQ 3 or above
- People skills
- Be self motivated
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to work under pressure
- Problem solver
