As Purchasing Manager you will develop and implement a purchasing strategy for this site which is part of a global operation established in 1995. You will appoint and manage suppliers ensuring the company receives quality materials at competitive prices, delivered on time.
Managing the Procurement Officer, you will have good people management experience, you will have proven ability of managing suppliers, negotiating SLAs and pricing, oversee stock levels, and create specifications for all raw materials as well as carrying out price reviews ensuring best possible prices in line with quality required by the customer.
Ideally you will be CIPS qualified, have previous experience as a Purchasing Manager working within manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous will excellent MS Office skills including Excel. Transport is required due to the location of the site in Wellington.
