The Company:

Have you got excellent Excel and IT skills, are numerate and accurate?

I am looking for someone to provide administrative support to a busy Purchasing Team. This role would suit candidates looking for an interesting and varied role and is a great foot on the ladder for a career in Purchasing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Updating back-order reporting for Purchasing, including the USA Warehouse and informing Customer Services on the status of back-orders.
  • Raising Purchase Orders for Buyers, as and when instructed by system or Buyers.
  • Provide administration support for the Buyers.
  • Basic expediting of samples and orders from suppliers.
  • Contacting suppliers both in UK and overseas.
  • Maintaining sample area.
  • Assist the Purchasing Team with the itinerary for trips away including flight bookings, accommodation and car rental.
  • Ensuring a Supplier's Declaration of Conformity and CE details are on file for all suppliers.
  • Ordering stationery, cleaning materials and basic office and warehouse items.
  • Arranging laundering and replacement of work wear when necessary.

Preferred Skills:

  • Be a good team player with excellent communication skills. Able to converse confidently on the telephone.
  • Be IT literate, with good MS Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Be accurate and numerate.
  • Have good attention to detail, whilst maintaining a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability work on own initiative, but within the confines of the department's/Company's resources and timescales.
  • Show evidence of working to tight timescales and budgets.
  • Educated to a minimum of A' Level standard.
  • Be capable and willing to lift large boxes if required.
