The NZ Transport Agency shapes New Zealand's transport networks and people's safe and efficient use of them. They keep people and goods on the move by working with others to invest $3 billion a year on our road and rail networks. However you choose to travel - by car, bus, bike or train - they help you get there safely and on time.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your first rate project management skills to contribute to the planning and development of the State Highway network. You will be agile and adaptable, and will be responsible for developing and delivering a variety of projects, following the business case approach and sound project management principles and procedures. Through the projects you lead, you will work closely with customers and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are fully considered, and with suppliers to develop solutions that will deliver the right outcomes.

To be successful here and in this role you will bring:

  • A relevant qualification ideally degree level+
  • Solid experience, ideally in delivery of highway projects
  • Experience in maintaining relationships with stakeholders
  • A strong commitment and ability to work in a team

If you are passionate about making a difference, having the ability to influence and effect change, and want to work with committed, dedicated friendly people; then we would like to hear from you.

This is an exciting opportunity to live and work in New Zealand and shape its future growth.

Projects could range from minor works with a value less than $300k to large projects with a value greater than $300m.
